Lacri+^® is a preservative-free ocular lubricant combining cross-linked sodium hyaluronate with urea, supporting the tear film in dogs and cats with dry or irritated eyes — designed to be gentle enough for daily, medium- and long-term use.

Cross-linked sodium hyaluronate stays on the ocular surface longer than non-cross-linked HA, giving prolonged lubrication; urea contributes to the corneal epithelial cell repair capacity; the absence of preservatives (such as benzalkonium chloride) avoids the "detergent-like" cytotoxic effects associated with long-term preserved ophthalmic use.

In a published pilot trial (Gard C, Cassagnes C, Muller S, Navarro C, Jahier B. Irish Veterinary Journal, 2023 Oct 6;76(1):30) — 19 dogs from 11 breeds, mean age 7.4 years, with one or more clinical signs of dry eye and a Schirmer Tear Test between 5 and 10 mm/min were given two drops in each eye twice daily for 30 days. Outcomes at D30:

10 ml bottle (also supplied to clinics as a 12-bottle display pack). Sterile for 3 months after opening.
