Daily brushing is the gold standard of oral care, but most owners cannot sustain it. Buccaclean® was formulated as a practical daily aid that works with or without a toothbrush, so plaque control continues between professional cleanings. It is chlorhexidine-free, made from naturally-derived ingredients, and uses a second-generation flexible applicator tip with a meat flavour pets accept.

The formulation combines an enzymatic complex (amyloglucosidase and glucose oxidase) that reinforces saliva's natural antibacterial defences, antibiofilm polysaccharides that limit bacterial adhesion to oral surfaces, bromelain with in-vitro activity against plaque bacteria, and liquorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) for a soothing effect on the gums.
配方結合酶複合物（amyloglucosidase、glucose oxidase）以強化唾液的天然抗菌防禦、限制細菌黏附口腔表面的抗生物膜多醣、對牙菌膜細菌具體外實驗活性的菠蘿酵素（bromelain），以及舒緩牙齦的甘草（Glycyrrhiza glabra）。
Buccaclean® gel has received the VOHC® (Veterinary Oral Health Council) seal of acceptance in the category "Plaque Control Aid" for dogs.
In a one-month clinical study, 32 dogs were divided into two groups after an initial scaling: one group received no oral care, the other received Buccaclean® gel once daily, with no brushing. The Buccaclean® group showed less plaque, a 61% reduction in gum bleeding and a 53% improvement in the oral health index (Gawor JP et al., 30th EVDF, Krakow, 2023). A second clinical study supporting the VOHC® submission was completed in 2025.

Apply once daily along the gum line with the flexible tip, or apply the gel to a toothbrush and brush as usual. Introduce gradually with positive rewards so the routine sticks.
